the left-hand lane and is starting to back up the ride. the drive time is now coming in at 32 minutes. this is not the worst commute but it is a three to five minutes above the normal drive times for 80 westbound. >> developing news this morning comes out of oakland where the city council has passed a controversial measure to hire former new york and los angeles police chief william bratton as a consultant. the city council meeting lasted until about 2 this morning with council members of proving the contract with the seven to one vote. mmm emphasizing that whatever policies fall from the consulting will not permit any racial profiling was also passed. are the past week both police chief howard jordan and mayor jean kwon had stated clearly in strenuously their racial part profiling will not be tolerated in the police department.

>> firefighters are on the scene of they can't chicago warehouse. you can see the flames rising to the top of the building as pawns of smoke rolled into the sky but on the left cheek and see just how cold it is there. the fire department says about a third of the city's fire vehicles were battling the fire. all the water the firefighters were sprang on that building

pushing the back of beyond pleasant hill boulevard on 680 southbound and is now starting to back up the ride on 242 toward highway four. continuing to track delays in the east shore freeway the accident that caused a hot spot has been cleared but the drive times are still climbing. 33 minutes instead of the 28 to 29 minutes drive time. the bay bridge is a great commute, no back up to speak of. drive times are 14 to 16 minutes regardless of the approach. the san mateo bridge conditions are pretty good. the golden gate bridge has one problem free all morning long 1 01 southbound through marin county and drive times are still just under 35 minutes. >> it is a great start to the morning with plenty of
